AZ Alkmaar relinquished a one goal lead to bow 2-1 to Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.
After their 5-0 drubbing to Ajax before the international break, AZ looked to get their season back on track in Utrecht. After only three minutes they had the lead when Thomas Ouwejan crossed for Bjorn Johnsen to net from close range.
Utrecht then dominated the match but had to wait until the 36th minute to net the equaliser through Urby Emanuelson, who slid in a cross by Gyrano Kerk.
The second half was an even affair but it was Utrecht who nicked all three points two minutes from time when Ricardo van Rhijn sliced a shot from Sean Klaiber into his own net.
It appears that Fred Friday might be seeking a move away from AZ Alkmaar after he wasn’t named in the team to face Utrecht on Saturday.
Fred Friday might seek a loan or permanent move away from AZ Alkmaar as he had found opportunities hard to come by at the club this season.
This will alert clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie and the Scandinavian region, reports Footballlive.ng.
