Sparta Rotterdam of Holland striker, Fred Friday scored his first goal for his new side, in their 1-0 defeat of Bartholomew Ogbeche’s Willem II in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday afternoon.

The 22-year old striker who moved to Sparta-Stadion Het Kasteel during the January window got off the mark on his fourth appearance for the club, turning home after 23 minutes of action as the hosts took the much needed lead.

Ogbeche and Willem II would hope to bounce back from the defeat when they host VVV Venlo on Wednesday while Friday’s Sparta Rotterdam would continue their fight for survival with a trip to Utrecht.
