Reading of England defender, Gabriel Osho made his senior debut for the English Championsh club, but it came in a 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough at Madejski Stadium, footballlive.ng reports.
Osho’s debut came from the start, as he was named in the first eleven by Reading’s caretaker boss, Scott Marshall, and became the 49th player to graduate from the club’s academy.
The 20-year-old central defender, who was recalled from his loan spell with National League club, Aldershot Town on December 6, earlier came close to his debut the previous weekend, when he was named in the squad against Rotherham United, but was an unused substitute.
Osho is widely regarded as one of the most promising players within Reading’s academy, where his leadership and goal scoring qualities from his defensive position stand him out.
The youngster, who put pen to paper on his first professional contract with Reading in September 2015, did well on his debut, as he prevented Britt Assombalonga from scoring in the 17th minute by tracking back and blocking a shot from the Democratic Republic of Congo international.
