Shooting Stars Technical Adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has hinted at a potential departure from the club following the expiration of his contract.
This came after Shooting Stars secured a 1-0 victory over Sporting Lagos in their final match of the season at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday.
In his post-match comments, Ogunbote revealed there are ongoing discussions regarding a contract extension but indicated that nothing had been finalized yet.
“As I talk to you, my contract will expire at the end of the game against Sporting Lagos,” Ogunbote told the media.
“They are talking about a contract extension, they are bringing on offers until we get to a conclusive aspect of it, but we say the season is over for Shooting Stars.”
Gbenga Ogunbote rejoined the Oluyole Warriors for a second spell in 2022. Under his guidance, Shooting Stars finished fourth in the just concluded NPFL season.
