Real Besiktas has extended Super Falcons defender Glory Ogbonna’s contract for another year following her impressive performance with the Disi Kartallar in the 2023/24 season.
The club made the announcement on their official Instagram page on Friday, stating, “Besiktas United Payment team has renewed the contract of our Nigerian defender Glory Ogbonna within the scope of the transfer efforts for the 2024/25 season.”
The former Edo Queens player was one of the outstanding defenders in the just-concluded season, contributing significantly to Besiktas women’s team finishing fifth in the league.
Ogbonna expressed her enthusiasm to continue with the team, saying, “Since joining Besiktas, it has been an amazing time, and the fans have been great. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
The 25-year-old defender is also set to join the national team, the Super Falcons, for the Olympics in July.
