Golbe Elisha: Football crisis not good for players

Date:

Central defender Golbe Elisha has stated that players have been worst hit by the ongoing crisis in Nigerian football, with the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on suspension due to the leadership saga.

According to the Peace Boys skipper, they have missed getting match bonuses and travelling allowances.
“The crisis has deprived players a lot of benefits ranging from match bonuses to travelling allowances and some other entitlements,” Golbe Elisha told Footballlive.ng.
“The situation isn’t palatable for a country as blessed as ours. Football and the actors suffered the effect of series of problems caused by those at the top.”
“We are not happy with the whole saga. It has made us not engaged with what we love doing.
The tough-as-nail defender called on relevant stakeholders to ensure that the brouhaha becomes a thing of the past.
