The emergent new under-17 national team, Golden Eaglets showed a sign of good things to come in days ahead, with a stunning 9-0 win during a build-up friendly match at the weekend.
In their latest match, the Eaglets ran out comprehensive winners against Grassroots Football Academy of Port Harcourt on Sunday, just three days after they thrashed Rarara Football Academy of Katsina 7-1.
Barcelona Football Academy Lagos were also thrashed 4-1 last week bringing the total number of goals they have scored in their last three games to 20 while they conceded just two in return.
After a screening which lasted close to a month, Eaglets’ returnee coach, Manu Garba has settled for a squad of players who have been playing in friendly games for the team.
Garba is working his way towards redeeming himself after failing to qualify the U17s for the last African Youth Championship by losing out to Niger Republic.
