Gudjohnsen Visits Joseph Yobo In Lagos

Date:

Iceland’s former Chelsea and Barcelona forward, Eidur Gudjohnsen put aside thoughts of the forthcoming 2018 World Cup battle between his country and Nigeria to pay a courtesy visit to former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Ikpo Yobo.

Iceland will battle Nigeria in their second ever World Cup match on June 22 in Volgograd, Russia, but Gudjohnsen is not thinking about any rivalry for now, as he visited Yobo and his family at their home in Lagos.

The 39-year-old has been in Lagos for a couple of days on media duties ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup where his country Iceland will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Group D.

Yobo took to his Instagram page to share some photos with his family posing with the Premier League legend and wrote: ‘Look who came to our home today #Augustvisitor Eidur Gudjohnsen Ex Barcelona/Chelsea Legend.’
