Kwara United pummeled Shooting Stars 4-0 in a tune up match with Mohammed Sani Rabiu bagging a brace for the Harmony Warriors on Thursday.
Other goals came from the boots of Mohammed S Rabiu and Shamsudeen Hashimu.
The win at the Kwara Stadium Complex further underlined the resurgence under the watchful eyes of coach Abubakar Bala, something Mohammed Sani Rabiu attributed to hardwork and team spirit.
“Our eye catching form has surprised many. We have been on a good run since the arrival of coach Abubakar Bala at this club. He has instilled in Kwara United hardwork and team spirit,” brace hero in the massacre of Shooting Stars Mohammed Sani Rabiu told Footballlive.ng.
“He (Abubakar Bala) usually tell us that we are champions and that no one is capable of matching us on the field of play. That’s the tonic needed to face the enemy.
Mohammed Sani Rabiu expressed joy with the two goals netted against the Oluyole Warriors.
“It gives me joy that I scored two goals for Kwara United against a strong side like Shooting Stars. I hope to score more when the league resumes.”
The Harmony Warriors will face Akwa United in a matchday 25 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) battle in Ilorin.
