Heartland of Owerri’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 31 fixture against Shooting Stars will take place at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Earlier this week, there were concerns and uncertainties about the venue for the encounter. Heartland had been using the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba as their temporary home ground due to a ban on the Dan Anyiam Stadium. However, following a recent inspection of the stadium, the NPFL has given the green light for the Naze Millionaires to return to their traditional home ground in Owerri.
Under the leadership of coach Christian Obi, Heartland managed to secure only one victory from the two matches they played at the Enyimba International Stadium. With the crucial tie against Shooting Stars looming, Heartland will be counting on the passionate support of their home fans to boost their morale and help them in their battle to avoid relegation.
As it stands, Heartland is positioned 19th on the NPFL table, having garnered 26 points from 30 matches. The upcoming clash against Shooting Stars presents a golden opportunity for the Naze Millionaires to climb up the table and edge closer to safety.
