Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has missed out on the London club’s player of the month award for September, footballlive.ng gathered.
Iwobi had been shortlisted for the prize, due to his top performances for The Gunners last month, but the largest vote went to his fellow-attacker, Alexandre Lacazette, who scored against Cardiff City, Everton and Brentford, with assists versus Cardiff City and Watford.
Iwobi could not even place second behind the Frenchman, who got 59 percent of the votes to take home the award, ahead of Lucas Torreira and goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Iwobi could not even finish among the top three, as Torreira and Cech finished second and third place respectively.
On the other hand, Iowbi, who made a game-changing impact off the bench against Watford in the English Premier League, has scored one goal in six games this season in all competitions.
However, in September, Iwobi could not score, but he provided assists in UEFA Europa League matches with Vorskla Poltava and Qarabag, as well as against Watford in the English Premier League.
