After winning a record 8th Federations Cup trophy, Rivers Angels head coach Edwin Okon said he is not tired of winning the championship and he is already thinking of the next edition.
The former Super Falcons handler said. “Every tournament is important and it does not matter if you have won it 10 times the competition is always there. Winning a tournament on several occasions only mean you are good at it and there is no shame in victory.”
Rivers Angels on Tuesday at the Samson Siasia stadium in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state beat Ibom Angels by a goal to nil courtesy of a 47th minute strike from Juliet Sunday to confirm the team’s superiority and also ensured they won the star prize on N10 million.
Edwin Okon also insists that he cannot be tired of winning at any level. “The Aiteo Cup is huge and winning it again is fantastic. Winning is in my football DNA, even if I am handling a junior team, I still always want to win.
