Super Eagles prospect Tolu Arokodare has expressed his disappointment following KRC Genk’s unexpected 2-1 defeat to Kortrijk in the Jupiler Pro League.
Genk, who were on a five-game winning streak and aiming for a sixth consecutive victory, took the lead in the match with a 1-0 advantage.
However, Kortrijk mounted a stunning comeback, overturning the scoreline and snatching all three points with the defeat denying the four-time Belgian Pro League champions a crucial win.
Arokodare, unable to conceal his frustration, took to social media to share his feelings, writing simply: “I hate losing.”
Despite the setback, Genk remains atop the Belgian Pro League table with 22 points.
Arokodare, who has been in excellent form this season, has scored six goals in 10 league appearances, continuing to impress with his performances.
At 23 years old, the forward is still waiting for his first call-up to the Nigerian national team. His consistent displays will undoubtedly keep him on the radar of the Super Eagles’ coaching staff.
