Rangers GM, Davidson Owumi, on Friday contacted his lawyers to ask News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to write a letter to NAN to explain the source of its story that was published online on Thursday.
“I contacted my lawyers this morning (Friday) to reach out to NAN to explain the story they published. We shall meet in court”.
The report had indicted Owumi of kicking against the resumption of the NPFL on September 2 after a meeting of Club Managers in Abuja.
The top football administrator denied granting any interview to a journalist to warrant such publication which is full of lies.
“For the past three months i have not visited Abuja not to talk of going there for a meeting”. “Also, i hardly grant interviews, so, i don’t know where the story emanated from”.
Meanwhile, Owumi has tasked the NAN reporter who published the story to produce the sound bite of the interview he granted.
“Please, to settle this matter, i would want the reporter to produce a sound bite of the interview to prove a point” said Owumi.
