Etoile du Sahel head coach Roger Lemerre has praised his boys for a job well done in their 2 – 0 win against Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu in Matchday four of the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.
Lemerre who was part of the coaching staff that led France to victory in the 2000 Euro’s had showed confidence in his team’s capabilities coming into the game stating that he was determined to return to Sousse with the maximum points.
A defensive blunder from the Rangers side left Maher Hannachi unmarked and that big forward in a lethal fashion put the ball past Nana Bonsu in goal in the 19th minute before a classy penalty kick from Iheb Msakni gave the away side the maximum points.
Etoile will face neighbours and second placed CS Sfaxien in their next fixture on the 10th of March and will be hoping to get a win after they lost their first match at home to their counterparts.
With just a two points lead over Enugu Rangers, CS Sfaxien will be hoping to get a win against their opponents so has to move ahead of the in form Etoile.
