Striker Christian Osaguona Ighodaro is recovering well following the hamstring injury he sustained in the day 1 of the 2018/19 Qatar Stars League season.
The Umm Salal forward picked up the injury in the 25th minute of his team’s 2-1 loss to Al Sailiya last Saturday.
He was due to be out of action for two to three weeks.
Speaking to Footballlive.ng, the sharp shooter said that he is recovering faster than expected and should be back soon.
“I had fears when I hobbled off the pitch in the game we lost to Al Sailiya. But was later told by the doctor that the injury will take close to three weeks,” Osaguona told Footballlive.ng.
“The necessary steps to be taken to recovery has been strictly followed. I felt better on Thursday. I think I should be back in the next 8 days from all indications.
“I’m not in a haste to comeback, it’s a gradual process for me. I believe all will turn out for the best when am back,” the five-cap Eagle added.
