Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo bagged one assist to help Changchun Yatai beat Guangzhou Evergrande 3-2 on game week 17 in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.
The former Udinese forward started and played the entirety of the contest staged at Changchun Stadium.
In the 90th minute, Ighalo found Long Tan with a perfect pass and the forward applied the finishing touch as the hosts won in the five-goal thriller.
After 17 matches in the Super League, Ighalo’s Changchun occupy the 10th position in the standings with 21 points accumulated.
The striker is expected to be named in Super Eagles’ team to face Seychelles in the 2019 African Nations Cup Qualifier in September.
