Changchun Yatai of China striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has been linked with a move to join fellow-Super Eagles attacker, Henry Onyekuru at Istanbul-based Galatasaray of Turkey.
This is sequel to reports at the weekend, which footballlive.ng gathered show strong inclinations of Ighalo moving in a major winter transfer deal to Onyekuru’s team this month.
However, it may not be smooth sailing for Ighalo all the way to linking up with Onyekuru at Gala, as another Turkish Super Lig club, Fenerbahce and English Premier League side, Southampton are also said to be keen.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers top scorer is now torn over all the options on his table, as he seeks to get a January exit from relegated Yatai, who are no longer in the money-spinning Chinese Super League.
However, the chances of Ighalo returning to England, where he starred for Watford in two seasons, are not so concrete, as Southampton have not tabled an official offer for the striker.
On the other hand, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have both expressed strong interest in signing Ighalo, as they are already holding discussions with him and his agents.
