Changchun Yatai of China striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has stepped up personal training during the last days of his summer holiday, as he gets set to rejoin his teammates in the coming days.
Ighalo has been at home on an extended holiday, following his exertions with the Super Eagles at the World Cup, but that long break is billed to end this week, hence his decision to put in extra hours of individual drills over the weekend.
Ighalo was involved in all the matches played by the Eagles at Russia 2018, before they were knocked out in the group stage, starting against Croatia and off the bench versus the duo of Iceland and Argentina.
Even while holidaying with his family, Ighalo kept undergoing personal training to keep himself in shape before his return to China.
The 29-year-old was in good form for Yatai before the World Cup, with seven goals in 11 matches, including four in one game against Guizhou Zhicheng.
He is now determined to continue from there on Tuesday, July 17, when his side take on Chongqing Dangdai Lifan in their first game after the two-month World Cup break.
