Changchun Yatai of China striker, Odio Jude Ighalo took his goals haul for the season to 15 on Saturday, as he romped home another sizzler in The Oriental Nation.
The latest bull’s eye by Ighalo means he has already matched his total haul of last season in the Chinese Super League (CSL).
The former Lyn Oslo of Norway, Udinese of Italy, Granada of Spain and Watford of England star made hay on Saturday away to Guangzhou R&F, as he put his team in front after 12 minutes, but the home team fought back to win 5-2.
Defeat for Ighalo’s side saw Guangzhou leapfrog Changchun on the table, as they now have 25 points from 19 matches.
Ighalo and his teammates, who have 24 points on the CSL log, will line out for their next game at home against Hebei CFFC on Sunday, August 26.
