Super Eagles stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have clinched the Championship title with Leicester City after a resounding 3-0 victory over mid-table Preston North End on Monday.
Jamie Vardy found the net in each half, with Kasey McAteer adding a goal in the 67th minute to seal the points for the Foxes.
The win strengthened the position of Leicester City at the top of the table, with 97 points, seven points clear of second-placed Leeds United, and third-placed Ipswich Town.
The victory automatically promotes Leicester City’s return to the Premier League after just one season in the Championship.
Their promotion is similar to their Premier League title win run in 2016 under manager Claudio Ranieri, where they finished 10 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
