Iheanacho, Ndidi Get Interim Crew; Balogun Ruled Out

Date:

Leicester City duo, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi and Kelechi Ihenacho will have a consortium of two interim coaches for Tuesday’s English Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, who will again be without injured Leon Aderemi Baloigun.

Footballive.ng gathered that Ndidi and Iheanacho will fancy their chances of a quick recovery under two new coaches put jointly in charge of the squad, following the sack of Cluade Puel on Sunday.

Puel was sent packing after The Foxes lost 4-1 at home against Crystal Palace on Saturday, such that Iheanacho and Ndidi will aim to create an instant impression under the duo of Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler.

Bioth gaffers will take caretaker charge of Leicester for Tuesday’s match, trying to stem a tide that has seen The Foxes in a poor run of results and 12th on the EPL table with 32 points.

Stowell and Sadler will take care of the squad for Tuesday’s game and are keeping the squad focused on picking up points against Brighton.

Incidentally, Balogun is ruled out of the match at King Power Stadium, as he missed training on Monday due to a shoulder injury.

Balogun has been out for almost a month, as he last featured against West Bromwich Albion of February 6, after playing his first match of 2019 against Bournemouth on January 5.
Brighton’s coach, Chris Hughton said: ”Leon Balogun is the only one not available.”
