Leicester City of England attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has disclosed that he is confident of the Super Eagles beating South Africa this Saturday in Johannesburg because he believes the Nigerian side is better than it was during the first leg, which Bafana Bafana won 2-0 in Uyo.
Footballlive.ng reports that Iheanacho is still haunted by that result, but interjected that it will be different in the reverse fixture, as the Eagles are better than they were back then, having also learnt a lot from the World Cup, which has seen them improve collectively and individually.
The former Manchester City player said the current Nigerian team is full of potentials, with a view that they can win many laurels for Nigeria.
Iheanacho declared: ”We are much more better now than we were as of the time we played them in the first leg so I am confident we will get a win..
”We are getting better and better. We learnt a whole lot from the World Cup, and since then we are improving as a team and also individually.
”Must of us have new clubs, we play more often in our club and above all getting better in terms of team cohesion when we play for the national team.
”It’s only a matter of time before we start wining trophies. ”The first leg is still fresh in our memories. We definitely want to take revenge for that defeat.”
