Leicester City attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho had more to grief about in last weekend’s 5-1 loss to Manchester City, as the defeat came on an afternoon his daughter watched him play for the first time.
Iheanacho would have loved a better result to charm the lass, but his former club had other thoughts in their mind, and The Citizens ensured their ex-teammate left Etihad Stadium with a dampened mood.
Such it was that Iheanacho felt let down in the sight of his goddaughter, as a goal by Raheem Sterling and four from Sergio Aguero gave City a massive win, and Iheanacho could do was sulk a little then put up a bold face.
Iheanacho expected an away victory as a better gift for his goddaughter, who watched from the stands at Etihad Stadium with her father, the player’s best friend, Kingsley Ogbodo and his wife.
Iheanacho linked up with his goddaughter alongside her parents after the game, with a change in expression on his face, as he was excited to have the little one watch him play for the first time.
“Wasn’t a good result but that was an outstanding performance from you????????we are happy that your goddaughter got to see you play for the first time,” Ogbodo stated.
