Chelsea youth team striker, Ike Ugbo is back at Stamford Bridge, and in search of another club for a new loan deal, after EFL League One club, Scunthorpe United refused to extend his stay.
Footballlive.ng learnt that Ugbo’s stay with The Iron has come to a shock closure, as their agreement with Chelsea expired on Sunday, but the third-tier club stopped short of tabling a renewal for his services.
Consequently, the 20-year-old Nigerian-born lad is back at Stamford Bridge and in search of a new port of call, after he was left out of the squad of Scunthorpe against Coventry City at Glanford Park on Saturday.
Ugbo scored against Wimbledon in September, for his only goal in 15 League One outings for Scunthorpe United.
Chelsea will now seek a fresh loan deal for Ugbo, who spent the first half of last season at Barnsley before transferring to Milton Keynes Dons.
