Fidelis Ilechukwu, the technical adviser of Rangers, has expressed his disappointment with his team’s performance in their 4-3 defeat to Katsina United, labeling it as “not acceptable.”
Ilechukwu voiced his dissatisfaction with the goals conceded by his team, which brought an end to their impressive 10-game unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
In an interview with NPFL Media, Ilechukwu acknowledged the challenging nature of the match but emphasized the need for his team to improve defensively.
“I think it was a great game for both teams,” Ilechukwu remarked. “Scoring three goals in an away game is not an easy feat, but conceding four goals is not acceptable in football.”
Expressing his sadness over the defeat, Ilechukwu emphasized the importance of moving forward and focusing on the next game, particularly the upcoming Oriental derby clash against Abia Warriors.
“All we need to do is to psyche the boys up, identify the challenging areas, and make the necessary corrections going into our next game,” Ilechukwu stated, highlighting the need for improvement and corrective measures to address defensive lapses.
