The glorious days of former Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche at Recreativo Huelva of Spain are bound to be revived by an upcoming Nigerian, as former Golden Eaglets central defender, Ikwu has sealed a deal with the club.
Information reaching footballlive.ng reveals that Ikwu has finally been unveiled by Uche’s former club’s youth team, following his arrival during the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old utility player’s arrival has been in a cloud of sorts, as the former La Liga outfit are now campaigning in the fourth division of Spanish football.
Ikwu arrived on loan from Nigerian non-league side, FC Inter of Enugu, where he played as a central defender.
However, Ikwu has now been labelled a full back at his new base, where he will start from the youth team.
Nonetheless, it is a step forward for the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medallist, as he was part of the Flying Eagles squad that failed to qualify for the 2017 AFCON U20.
