Enugu Rangers Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has said that he feels fulfilled after finally winning the Nigerian premier league. Ilechukwu had previously been at Heartland and MFM, and failed to clinch the nation’s top footballing prize.
“Yes, I’m fulfilled because it wasn’t easy. Nobody give us that chance, nobody believed that a team that battled relegation last season would come this season and be a champion. I don’t think anybody would believe that”, the gaffer said.
The gaffer said that it was not an easy one, especially considering that the team were fighting relegation just a season back. He added that no one gave them a chance, but he is happy and grateful to God for the conquest.
“Considering the challenges, I think that we escaped relegation on the last day of their match, but today, we are here, today we are happy. All our fans, everybody in Enugu are happy because of what God has done for us. We are the champions”, said an excited Ilechukwu
