Imama Amapakabo flanked by top El Kanemi officials during his presentation earlier this year Chairman of El Kanemi Warriors Zanna Mohammed Malla, has told footballlive that Super Eagles assistant coach, Imams Amapakabo still has a contract with the NPFL side till the end of the year.
The club boss clarification followed claims by Imama to the effect he has seen off his one year contract with the club and as such has stepped down from his managerial role at the club.
“No, Imama’s contract with us is not yet over”, the Maiduguri club boss told www.footballive.ng
“He signed a one-year contract with us in January which runs through to December.
“Right now, we are still in October. The fact the league ended the way it did and we have also lost out in the Aiteo Cup does not alter what is well documented in black and white.
“As far as we are concerned, Imama still has a valid contract with us and as such remains our coach.”
