Churchill Brothers of India striker, Khalid Aucho will lead Uganda’s charge for another upset victory against Nigeria, when both sides clash in a friendly on November 20 in Asaba, footballlive.ng reports.
Uganda have two memories of famous victories against Nigeria, first in the semi-finals of AFCON 1978 in Ghana and most recently during a similar friendly in Uyo three years ago, which they aim to repeat.
They will now bank on Aucho to lead the way to glory alongside 15 other foreign-based professionals invited to The Cranes’ camp by their coach, Sebastien Desabre.
This comes after the coach announced a 30-man roster ahead of the friendly, which will be preceded by a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Cape Verde.
Aside Aucho, 15 other foreign-based professionals have been invited, with Simba striker, Emmanuel Okwi, Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango and Cape City midfielder Allan Kateregga all included.
The Cranes will head to Asaba to face the Super Eagles three days after their match day five AFCON 2019 qualifier, from which Uganda will qualify for their seventh outing if they avoid defeat in Namboole.
The non residential training programme will start on 9th November with 14 local based players at Lugogo.
