Former Golden Eaglets striker Isaac Success was in action as Watford started their English Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Leon Balogun’s Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
The youngster climbed off the bench to replace Andre Gray in the 74th minute but his compatriot Balogun was an unused substitute for the away side.
Striker Roberto Pereyra struck a brace for the Hornets who won at the Vicarage Road Stadium.
Success made his presence felt with some excellent runs at the channels as he linked up play with his teammates.
Before today’s game, Success only made two Premier League starts since moving to Vicarage Road from Granada for a then-club record fee of £12.5 million in 2016.
He also failed to make an impact during a loan spell at Malaga as they finished bottom of La Liga last season. But his time in Spain with Granada showed Success to be an exciting, fast and versatile forward capable of giving opposition full-backs a horrible case of twisted blood.
