Daniel Ogunmodede has shared his thoughts on his team’s 2-1 victory over Kano Pillars at the Remo Stars Stadium on Saturday.
The head coach admitted he did not expect such an outcome given the team’s performance.
He acknowledged that Remo Stars played poorly but praised his players for their determination.
“It was an unbelievable, incredible result for the team,” Ogunmodede told the club’s media.
“I never thought we could get the maximum three points considering what happened in the game. We had a not-too-good game, but we must salute the courage of the players for their resilience to keep fighting till the end.”
The Sky Blue Stars with this victory maintains their 3rd position on the NPFL table, keeping them in the title race, tied Enyimba (59 points) and just 2 points behind Enugu Rangers
