Iwobi Declared Fit For Czech Republic Clash

Date:

Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has been declared fit to tango Czech Republic on Wednesday, as Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr insists the match hero against England is not injured.

Though Iwobi appeared to hold his thigh in discomfort at a point during Saturday’s 2-1 loss to England, Rohr says it was only a case of cramp.

Consequently, Rohr stated Sunday that he has no injury concerns over Iwobi, as he believes the lad only felt the stress of recent travels, and expects him to be in action on Wednesday.

Rohr explained: ”Only cramps, other players also had cramps, which means that all this travelling from Nigeria, at first they are coming from Europe to Nigeria to Lagos.

“From Lagos to Uyo, from Uyo to Port Harcourt, from Port Harcourt to Abuja again for the Presidential reception. I am happy that we don’t have injuries, only cramps.”
