Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has received a shower of accolades from renowned sports media celebrity, Piers Morgan, following another top performance by the Super Eagles star last weekend against Southampton.
Although Iwobi bowed out with injury during the encounter on Sunday, Morgan feels the youngster had done enough to show his quality once again, as he helped his London outfit to a 2-0 win.
Consequently, footballlive.ng can report that Morgan went on to hail The Gunners’ former under-21 team captain for his all-round efforts in the encounter at Emirates Stadium.
Much to Morgan’s delight, the result took Arsenal back to fourth in the English Premier League standings, but he lamented that Iwobi copped an injury during the encounter and had to be replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 75th minute.
While hoping that Iwobi will be available for selection when The Gunners face Bournemouth on Wednesday, the widely celebrated pundit noted that the team put up a great performance that deserved their victory.
Morgan posted on social media: “Good performance. Hope Iwobi’s OK, thought he played really well today until his injury. #AFCvSFC.”
