Iwobi Seeks Goal Against Everton At Emirates

Date:

Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has set his mind on taking a step further than an assist he got for The Gunners in the Europa League on Thursday, as footballlive.ng can report that he now wants to net a goal against Everton at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Iwobi and his Arsenal pals will step out at the same venue where they whipped Vorsla Poltava 4-2, as they host The Toffees on Super Sunday in the English Premier League, and the Super Eagles star is eager to consolidate on his continental flare with an extra touch in the domestic game.

Iwobi said in the wake of The Gunners’ home victory on Thursday that his form has improved vastly under the club’s new gaffer, Unai Emery, who he said he was happy to impress in the win over Ukraine side.

The Super Eagles star got the assist for the first goal scored by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as Arsenal ran out comfortable winners to go top of their group, but Iwobi admits he has to keep working harder, because Emery demands a lot from his players.

“He demands a lot. We’re working a lot harder in training, running a bit more but as you can see we’re buying into his ideas and enjoying our time with him.

“There’s new ideas, I’m stil learning a lot from him, he’s trying to make me get more goals and be creating more chances for my teammates, so he’s helping me learn as well.”
