Iwobi Shines off the bench for Arsenal in 7th Straight Win

Date:

Arsenal vs Watford in the premier league on Saturday presented an interesting contest between Alex Iwobi and Isaac Success as both were second half substitute, where only one managed to effectively impact.

Alex Iwobi was involved in Arsenal’s goals as the Gunners defeated Watford 2-0 at the Emirates.

With Unai Emery chasing a seventh successive win, he introduced the 22-year-old winger, who immediately lite the flames.

Then it was the turn of Hornets Boss Javier Gracia to use his allotted substitutes, and Success was called up in the 72nd minute; 9 minutes after Iwobi’s introduction.

Success was presented the chance to break the deadlock as he ran through on goal and perfectly chipped the ball over Bernd Leno, but it sailed just narrowly off the mark.

The game’s first goal would not come until the 81st minute as Iwobi put a low cross into the box for forward Alexandre Lacazette, who’s effort came off a defender for a deflected goal.

Two minutes later Iwobi was back at it again, dropping a pass on the path of Lacazette, who teed up Mesut Ozil for the match the winner.
