Arsenal star, Alex Iwobi had the opportunity of an emotional escape from his floundering performance in the Super Eagles’ 2-0 loss to Croatia on Saturday, as his younger sister, Marie, celebrated their dad on father’s day just 24 hours later.
In what could be seen as a move to step into the garb of the older sibling, who is busy on national team duty at the World Cup, Marie Iwobi opted to don a replica of the Eagles’ Russia 2018 home jersey while celebrating with their father.
With Iwobi obviously taken over by dampened mood, following his surprisingly very poor show on Saturday and defeat in Nigeria’s first match of Russia 2018, his sister took it upon herself to celebrate their dad, Chuba.
The 20-year old beauty treated her Instagram followers with a bonding picture of herself in the Eagles’ jersey alongside her father, with a love emoji, and wrote: “Happy Father’s Day.”
