SC Paderborn of Germany defender, Jamilu Collins has downplayed fears raised over an injury blight, as he says he only had a knock last weekend, but insists it is nothing serious.
Speaking in the wake of his going off against VfL Bochum in the German second division, the Super Eagles’ new invitee waved aside fitness worries and stressed that he will report to the Nigerian camp in Victoria, Seychelles.
Collins dispelled fears that any injury could deny him his Eagles’ debut in Seychelles, as he is already focused on the AFCON 2019 qualifier on Saturday.
The 24-year-old former Flying Eagles left-back was hauled off by Paderborn after 84 minutes against Bochum, thereby raising worries that he may have suffered an injury.
However, Collins stated: “I’m focused coming from my club – to go to Seychelles and win. We hope to play good football and win the match.”
