Chievo Veron of Italy midfielder, Joel Chukwuma Obi has been offered the golden chance of finally taking his career outside The Land of The Azzurri, and possible put an end to his spate of injuries.
The former Inter Milan dazzler has been curtailed in what could have been a creative career progression by several bouts with injuries, but footballlive.ng gathered at the weekend that he is wanted in Turkey.
The report states further that Obi, who has also played for AC Parma, AS Torino and and Cagliari is wanted by Turkish Super Lig outfit, Antalyaspor in the January transfer window.
Obi transferred to Verona last summer and has a current market value of four million euros, but Antalyaspor want him on loan for remainder of the current season.
Antalyaspor aim to get the best out Obi, who started nine of Chievo’s 19 matches in the first half of the Serie A season and scored his only goal of the campaign so far against Bologna in November.
One big snag in a possible flight to Turkey for him, though, is that Obi has a contract with Chievo until the summer of 2021.
At the same time, while The Flying Donkeys are ready to sell the dashing midfielder outright, Antalyaspor have proposed a loan agreement.
