Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has declared that his dream is to one day play for his favorite childhood club Arsenal FC and is hoping such miracle will come his way in no time.
The combative Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder made the declaration on Twitter in reaction to Barcelona who surprisingly signed journeyman Kevin Prince Boateng from Italian side Sassuolo on loan until the end of the season. Barcelona says the agreement includes an option to buy the former Ghana international for 8 million euros.
John Ogu who could barely believe the move Twitted; “The day God go do my own dey come as e do Kelvin Boateng own to Barcelona. Baba God Na your hand I dey. Na Just @Arsenal”
Football fans across the country have joined hands in wishing the former Akwa United midfielder the best hoping his wishes will one day come through. @VjWale wrote: @Arsenal ,@ogujohnugo is one of the best midfielders in Africa; he will be a great addition to the team. He is a natural playmaker, very good with the ball and can create good chances for the strikers and followed by a good sense of defending.”
@Fbanks7 wrote: “God will do it but I find it hard why Nigerian players are not marketable? Imagine the exploit Moses did in Chelsea yet he couldn’t get good offers. I think Nigerian player’s agents are not doing enough for the players”
@nihilistego “It will come to pass in Jesus name. Believe, work harder and pray. Nothing is impossible with God.
Ogu also replied those that think that it is impossible that stranger things had happened. “Many of una wey dey sound like say E no possible. Who remember Julien Faurbert? Dude moved from West ham to Real Madrid. Impossible is nothing!!”
Barcelona had been in search of an extra forward with the club previously rumored to be on the lookout for Nigerian international Odion Jude Ighalo.
