Sunderland of England fast-rising Nigerian-born youngster, Josh Maja has attracted January transfer interest from the English Premier League duo of Manchester City and Southampton, footballllive.ng report.
After raining a haul of goals, including one in last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Wycombe Wanderers in England’s League One, Maja has caught the eye of several top clubs, with Man City and The Saints now joining.
Maja’s current form is giving his club a headache on how to keep him beyond January, as Bristol City and Tottenham Hotspur are also both monitoring his situation
Sunderland owner, Jack Ross admits The Black Cats will find it hard to keep Maja, who he acknowledged is attracting huge transfer interest.
Ross said: “He will be here minimum until January. I would expect him to be here longer than that. I am confident of that.
“I know he is enjoying it. He is playing and contributing. He is only young. To get 11 goals so far, he deserves huge credit.”
