The dust had barely settled on Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev in May when a video featuring Jurgen Klopp went viral.
While others were lamenting the mistakes from Loris Karius which contributed to a 3-1 defeat, the Liverpool manager was filmed in his kitchen singing a song about the game with his assistant boss Peter Krawietz and friends from a German punk band.
He was also holding a photo of the injured Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his girlfriend Perrie Edwards for… some reason.
And in an interview with Goal , Klopp has revealed all about the video.
Klopp and Co were heard singing about how Liverpool ‘saw the European Cup,’ but ‘Real Madrid had all the f****** luck.’
Having now been asked about that infamous video, Klopp was forthcoming with his response.
‘Well, everybody obviously had a little bit too much alcohol, and when that happens then you should put all smartphones away!’ said the German during an interview with Goal.
‘That’s the best advice.’
