Just In: Onazi out of Libya clash

Nigerian midfielder Eddy Ogenyi Onazi has been ruled out of the Super Eagles 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) fixture against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya on Saturday October 13 at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium in Uyo, footballlive.ng can report.

The Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder picked up an injury yet to be confirmed by the team doctors.

With his unavailability for the fixture, Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo and Hapoel Be’er Sheva star John Ogu will be considered for a likely starting berth alongside regular Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi.

According to inside source it is unclear if the 2013 AFCON winner will be available for the return leg in Sfax on Tuesday October 16.
