Kwara United’s technical adviser, Kabir Dogo, remains confident in his team’s ability to escape relegation despite a 2-0 defeat to Plateau United in Jos on Sunday. The Harmony Boys now face a critical final stretch in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with only three matches remaining to secure their status.
In a post-match interview, Dogo expressed his belief that Kwara United still have a chance to gather crucial points to ensure their survival in the league. “We are still on course as far as the league is concerned; we are looking for survival,” he stated, underscoring his optimism despite the recent setback.
Dogo highlighted the team’s focus on their upcoming fixtures, particularly their next away game against Lobi Stars. “We are hopeful of getting good results in our away game against Lobi Stars. We are going back to work on ourselves ahead of the Kano Pillars match,” he added, indicating that the team is determined to bounce back.
Kwara United’s current standing on the table sees them in 13th position with 45 points, just two points above the relegation zone. The pressure is on to perform in their remaining games to avoid dropping into the relegation zone.
