Kanu Nwankwo enjoyed some of his best moments in club football in England, when he joined Arsenal, winning laurels including the EPL as a member of the invincibles.
However, Kanu wasn’t considered in the Gunners Best XI, according to his former teammate Ray Parlour.
The Nigerian joined Arsenal from Inter Milan and made over 100 appearances under the guidance Arsene Wenger, scoring over 30 goals.
He won two EPL titles and two FA Cups in a squad that also boasts club greats like Thierry Henry, Ray Parlour, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp.
But recently, Parlour reeled out a list of Eleven players; he’d consider the best to have donned on the White and Red strip of the North London club, and if you were a huge Papilo fan – even more so for his hat-trick against Chelsea – don’t bother looking.
The announcement was also as an sponsored advert, but unfluenced Best XI he’s played with.
Parlour listed the likes of David Seaman, Ashley Cole, Lee Dixon, Tony Adams, Steve Bould, Robert Pires, Marc Overmans, Patrick Vieira, David Rocastle, Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp… no room for Kanu even in a team where Arsene Wenger will be the Manager.
