Unterhaching youngster, Karim Adeyemi got his debut for Germany 16s as they were beaten on penalties by the Netherlands in the UEFA Development Tournament in Portugal.
Despite his Germany youth debut on Thursday evening The striker, who is contracted to Unterhaching until June 30, 2020, is still eligible to represent Nigeria through his father.
Adeyemi had represented Bavaria’s regional team at U15 level, scoring two goals from four appearances before he was called up to train with Germany’s U16 national team.
The highlight of his season so far has been the four goals he scored against Elversberg U17 in the B-Junioren Bundesliga Süd/Südwest in September 2017.
In the game at Complexo Desportivo de Vila Real de Santo Antonio, the 16-year-old was named in the starting line-up by manager Michael Feichtenbeiner and got substituted on 68 minutes.
