Former youth international striker, Olarewwaju Kayode will don jersey number eight at Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine in the coming season with of Ukrainian Premier League.
The 25-year-old striker, who joined Shakhtar on loan from Manchester City of England, following a botched stint with Girona of Spain, donned the double digit 88 during his loan spell with the Ukrainian champions last season.
However, Kayode has received a new squad number in The Armymen 2018/19 list for the upcoming Ukrainian domestic competitions, with his name on the roster at number 8.
This comes after he penned a five-year contract with Paulo Fonseca’s army-owned outfit in May, after initially arriving on loan from English Premier League champions, Man City.
Kayode made eight appearances for the Donetsk-based club in all competitions last season, with three goals and one assist, during which he won the league title and the Ukrainian Cup with the club that once had Julius Efosa Aghahowa and Isaac Okoronkwo.
