Akwa United midfielder Kelly Kester has made no secret of the fact he is working towards winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title with the Uyo based side.
The Promise Keepers currently lie second after 24 games in the season.
Interviewed by Footballlive.ng, Kester was naturally asked if he believes Akwa United can win the NPFL title.
“We are working for this,” he said. “In terms of mentality we are equal to anyone. There is a lot of enthusiasm to grow within the club, to give a lot to Nigerian football, to the fans, to everyone because they deserve it.
“Let’s say that we are on the right path. There is a lot of work to do, but the lads have applied themselves a lot.
“It will be an interesting end to the season.
“There is growth within the group. We are worker-like in spirit and strength. There is a great capacity to adapt,” he concluded.
