Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner, Kingsley Michael travelled out to Austria for pre-season drills with the main team of Bologna of Italy.
Michael has been a revelation with the first team of the Serie A side this summer, with his commanding displays in games they have played in preparation for the new season.
Michael’s rise to Bologna’s first team is phenomenal, considering that he only joined them a year ago as an 18-year-old from Nigeria.
He had no experience of professional football, despite shinning with the Golden Eaglets at the 2015 Cadet Mundial in Chile, which they won.
High expectations are now trailing his presence in Bologna’s main squad, with verdicts of a premium that he might be set for a stellar role for the club this season in Italy.
Further inferences to his impending relevance with the team comes from the fact that he has been handed jersey number 14, which is an upgrade on the multiple figure he donned in the youth team, following arrival last year.
Michael will now be hoping to get some game time when Bologna take on FC Nuremburg of Germany and Huddersfield Town of England during their final two pre-season games at their training camp in Austria.
