Kogi State to Celebrate Super Eagles’ AFCON Achievement

Kogi State is set to honor Super Eagles goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke and teammates for their outstanding performance in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Anyebe Monday, expressed the government’s commitment to recognizing and encouraging sportsmen and women who bring pride to the state.

Plans are underway to provide a victorious welcome for Olorunleke and his teammates. The State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) commended the government’s initiative and emphasized the importance of celebrating homegrown talents like Ojo Olorunleke, who serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes in Kogi State and beyond.

SWAN expressed appreciation for the collective effort of the Super Eagles squad and affirmed its commitment to supporting sports development initiatives within the state.
